A New Low.........

Last week, a friend of mine received a threat from a Vacation Resort Mogul. This Goliath of a company
threatened to stop at nothing short of taking the very clothes off her back if she did not pay an $8,000 debt. It warned that her bank accounts have been frozen and that all of her assets have been frozen. It is a very scary document that supposedly came from the Sheriff's office in our county.  My friend called the Sheriff's office and tried to get information on this document to no avail. Finally, she decided to call the number listed on the judgment.

It turns out that this is from Wyndham Vacation Resorts.

Thing is, my friend has never had any dealings with Wyndham Vacation Resorts. She has never purchased a Timeshare. She has never traveled to a Wyndham Resort. She has never gone on one of those 90 minute tours that turn into 3 - 4 hours. So how is it that they were able to get a judgment against her in court?

Very suspicious and very scary.

Tell Congress: Time Share Practices Unfair

Advice for person's wishing to purchase timeshare property. Don't. Wait until the Federal Government gets the hint that this industry must be controlled. Where is the out clause after you have owned and paid in for years? As one ages, one has less of a desire to travel and needs the timeshare less. Meanwhile, the cost of ownership increases every year. Owners realize that they are trapped with something they no longer want or need that is exploding in cost every single year. While the amount owners pay for maintenance fees steadily increases in addition to assessment charges, it has no real value. Sellers flat out refuse to allow owners to walk away even when timeshares have been paid for entirely. These companies, lead by giants like Wyndham refust to take their merchandise back. Ten minutes after they sell it to you, it no longer has any value to them. There is no return policy. The policy is...once we sell it you you, you are stuck with paying for the rest of your life.

Terms change, benefits decrease or disappear that drew you to the purchase in the first place. Where is the out clause? Are owners doomed to pay the bills of the corporate fat cats forever.

The Scam of the Century

Has anyone else noticed that the Timeshare that you purchase will never increase in value? It is rather like a car. Once you drive it off the lot, it decreases in value. Timeshares never go up in value regardless of what the Corporations say. The price to buy Timeshares is going through the roof.  Beware of the sellers who desire to get into your timeshare portfolio that you have been building for over 30 years. They want to break that and get you into debt again.

Beware the Wyndham Timeshare Sharks. They are the best at what they do.
Wyndham owners and salespeople are well trained scammers....

Yeah, I know. Time is running out!

The year is coming to an end and I am scrambling to make sure that my points and weeks are secure. It is not as easy as one would think to keep up with all of this. I really must keep in contact with the last Rep who promised that she would be available for 12 months to help me make the most of my time shared.

I have decided that this will be the last year in which I will lose points. Now is the time to begin planning for next year. Come on. We'll do it together. I know you have some weeks or points weighing you down also.

Did you get a call this morning offering to take them off your hands?
